Just wondering if these are symptoms others experience. I was diagnosed with IBS after having a barium enema last April. I find it rather strange thought that the worst symptoms of mine have come after having ahd two miscarriages.
Major left sided pain
very painful cramps that last for hours ( busopan that was prescribed did take these away after about 20 mins last time)
A feeling of fullness in the rectum
A stitch like feeling especially on left hand side low
Find it hard and painful to pass wind
ribbon like stools
and also smeller

you might want to checkout adhesions...my daughter was told she had Crohn's .....13 years later I FINALLY got to the bottom of her misery....adhesions!!!
She just had surgery...in Germany and is finally getting well.

I agree with the last post. Check out adhesions on the internet. Stools that look like ribbon and passing painfull gas sounds alot like the symtoms. Exspecially if you ever had any past surgeries in the stomach region.
