| | help for IBS
I to was diagnosed about 15 years ago with IBS although I should be rediagnosed as i think Im not certain as to what intestinal problem i may have, since Chrohns and Sjogrens seems to be so similar. When i have a terrible bout of pain about 1 time a month for about 12 hours it is followed by loose stool and a very weak ( flu-like symptoms which i determined to be a backwash of toxins entering into my bloos stream from a backed up SI). Anyway for you sufferers out there, something that helps me believe it or not is those ab-machines you may have seen on tv. You wrap it around your abdomin and small impulses of electricity contract the abdominal muscles. I also believe it to help because in IBS the intestines are not contracting in a synchronis rhythm. Think of your intestines as a catepillar and the way it crawls, wavelike. With ibs your intestines go out of rhythim and fecal matter is merely "sloshed" around plugging the tract, and backing up toxins. With electrical impulses out of sync, i think this ab machine actually disrupts the abnormal ryhthm and electrical system of the body and makes your brain rethink what its doing. Just a theory of course but worthy of trying it out for you. Also have been hearing good results with a new alternative technique called JMT. Do a search and you will see. Hope this helps.
