Question probiotics-are they working??

I started taking acidophilus capsules about two weeks ago. I haven't really noticed a change. I have been keeping a food diary along with my symptoms to try and keep track of this.
The capsules that I am taking contain 1.5 billion live organisms, and I am taking two every morning, first thing, as I read to take them on an empty stomach.
My question is, do these pills actually work?? do they contain enough live organisms to make a difference?? and am I taking them correctly???

1.5 billion is average per capsule, and studies show probiotics will often times help. We have found a new product from Europe, nucleotides that show promise. We will post data on a site shortly on their use for IBS.
