I've been on paxil now for ulcerative proctitis and a back problem. It works well for generalized depression associated with chronic pain, but I don't know if its the best for your anxiety -- however, I haven't had a flare up in 3 months! Anything to do the trick I suppose.
It does make you drowsy however and maybe a little loopy -- good luck and go for the springsteen show!
Dec 2000 - feel heaviness in hamstrings and tightness in back doing rigorous activity
Jan 2001 - saw chiropractor no improvement
April 2001 - started PT and continued chiropractic ... little relief
Sept 2001 - XRays show slight retrolisthesis of L5/S1, MRI shows degeneration of L5/S1 disc and slight bulge and degenerative changes of facet joints
Oct 2001 - ortho orders more PT -- aggravates pain
Jan 2002 - series of 3 epidural injections -- no relief
May 2002 - more chiropractic/osteopathic work -- no relief
Nov 2002 - discogram positive for discogenic pain at L5/S1
Feb 2002 - IDET for L5/S1
1 month out of work
June 2002 - start PT
July 2002 - marginal improvement from IDET, although pain in above discs
