Hi,

I just finished a detox. I was only having water, fruit juices, raw fruit and some raw veggies and mixed nuts. I stopped taking metamucil too. I have had several normal BM's and some excess gas, but all in all not too bad. I am curious if I might have a problem with breads and pastas. I thought I would have serious problems with the fruit but that was not the case at all. How do I check for an intollerance to bread and pasta? If bread and pasta is the problem what else should I try to avoid? Rice for example? I would love some replies from anyone who also suffers from this intollerance. What can you eat? Thanks!!

The best way to test for food intolerance is to eat it only then wait about 4 hours for a reaction. This called a challenge test.

Most people tolerate rice well. Wheat is a big problem with alot of people as well as pasta that is made with wheat. Lactose(milk sugar) in milk products is also very difficult for to digest.

Have you been tested for Celiac disease?
A simple blood test will do.

No I have ot been tested for that yet. I will ask my doctor next time I am in.

How much should I eat for this challenge test Harry?

You do not need to have Celiac Spru to have intolerances to wheat and lactose.
