Post Abdomen Sore After Colonoscopy

I had the colonoscopy yesterday and my abdomen is tender when I press it. I had stomach pain to begin with and long standing diarrhea...add to this the laxative, I imagine this irritated an already irritated colon.

Still, I would like to know if others had some cramps the day or days after or pain upon pressing down. I have no bleeding, fever, or serious pain, nothing that the sheet says. It doesn't seem to be gas, that came out yesterday (maybe some left, though). Any replies would be appreciated and reassuring, to know I am not the only one that feels this.

I have had 8 or so colonoscopies and I never had any soreness but I never had the inflammation that you have been having.

I certainly hope your soreness goes away shortly. As you may know some people get their colon punctured with the scope ---causing big problems.
It can always be worse!!!

God Bless---Harry

I had a colonoscopy on Monday (this is now Thursday) and I am very sore in one area. I can feel it when I walk or touch one place. I have had many colonoscopies and have been slightly sore at times, but this is lasting longer than ever. I did have an area cauterized and this is the sore area, so I am wondering if this is the cause. Everything seems to be working fine and I hear there is no feeling in the intestines, so I believe it is a muscle that got stretched or bruised. I hope you are feeling better.

I had some swlight pain in the precise area where doctor pulled off a "tag". It was between the sygmoid and the rectum and it sort of dull-ached for nearly a week but is was pretty much ignorable.

Did your doctor take anything out?

Just to tell those who replied, the pain is gone, it only lasted a few days, and nothing was found or removed (he did take a few biopsies just to check everything).
