Post Please help, IBS-C

I have had IBS-C for a long timme but now it is worse. I can go over 2 weeks without having a BM. I went to a doctor a week ago and he told me to take Perdiem daily and increase my fiber and water intake. I go to see the doc. again this Friday. He plan has not worked for me. It has been over a week since my last BM. The bloating and pain and just general not wanting to eat because of the feeling afterwards are terrible. If anyone can offer my any advice, I would appreciate it.

Oh man two weeks without a BM?? Oh man that must be terrible. But how can that be possible? I mean prune juice does nothing to you? I just need to drink a little cup to have plenty of BM's always hehe. Prunes are good and also I always used to be constipated (til recently now is backwards) and I founded great help clorophyl supplements.

You know when my son was just an infant,he had the same problem wth constipation.Doctor recommended some suppositories and then some laxative stuff for my son.Nothing was working and i was panicked ,till someone recommended prune juice.Worked for my son but he doesnt have any problems with his bowels like his mom.Might work for you too ,but you better make sure your near a bathroom just in case.

I think your doctor's advice makes sense. But I think that your intestinal bacteria may be out of whack, and maybe it would help you to eat yogurt daily, fortified with probiotics, and get your fiber from more natural sources, such as cereal and vegetables. This is what helped me get rid of my constipation.
