Hi all,

I recently went through a HIV scare for 3 months, which thankfully turnt out in a negative result. Anyway for most of this i was plagued with Loose bowel, this has not let up and i now have this every day without fail. Does this sound like IBS? Is there anything that can be done ? Thanks.

Maybe try metamucil or citrucel.Or eating a high fiber diet.

A lot of times stress can cause diarrhea. There is a mind-gut connection that has been well established medically. Usually it is treated with a very low dose of an anti-depressant. Like 10mg of Elavil where as the regular dose is 15 times more for depression.

Also, as suzy suggested--- use of a water soluble fiber supplement is alway good to regulate your BMs. I think everybody should take it because we just don't get enough fiber in our regular diets.
