Anyone else have issues with tomato sauce?

Any time I eat pasta with tomato sauce, it makes me poop and poop and poop for two days! I know it sounds crazy but I know that's what is causing it because my poop turns orangy red too. Lol I'm Italian and I love my pasta so I don't want to stop eating it. It's not a huge deal. I don't have a lot of discomfort or anything with it, just gassy, and like I said LOTS of soft orange poop. Sorry for the details. Lol Anyone else experience this?

You have to find out if it is the sauce or the pasta. Both are loaded with sugar and for me that gives me a ticket to stay close to the bathroom most times.
Try a whole wheat pasta maybe and see what happens.
Thats my thoughts!!!

Re: Anyone else have issues with tomato sauce?

Hi there, so here's my story. I drink A LOT of Heinz Tomato Juice.. like I can drink a full big can a day if I'm stocked up. But about 4-5 hours after, I start getting very poopy, and it's not just gassy, that starts right away.. but 4-5 hours later, it starts IMMEDIATELY. And it's always a very fast poo but it's always reddish-orange soft poos. And it will happen about 5 times a day.. it doesn't bother me but if I gotta go, I gotta go. I think it may just be a normal thing for most of us Italians lol

Re: Anyone else have issues with tomato sauce?

Long simmered tomato sauce, or anything out of a jar, totally destroys my stomach. I've found that if I make a quick sauce using San Marzano canned plum tomatoes (a little bit more pricy) I don't have any issues. These tomatoes are less acidic than regular tomatoes and I just add onion, garlic, and spices to it.
