Modulon Immunity?

I was just diagnosed with IBS. I'm not really the C or major D type. Mostly just loose but my doctor prescribed Modulon - trimebutine maleate. He said not to take it unless I REALLY needed to because I would become immune to it. Does anyone know anything about this?

Re: Modulon Immunity?

Modulon is a Canadian medication and I don't think it's sold in the states. So, you posters from Canada are going to have to Answer this???

I would suggest using a water soluble fiber supplement like Metamucil or Citurcel. They are both safe to use daily and are bulk stool forming agents. Also ---not addictive!!!<p>[This message has been edited by Harry (edited 02-27-2002).]
