Re: IBS symptoms & endometroisis with adhensions
I had the same thing. My IBS didn't get worse after my hysterectomy, but it didn't get better either. Unless you had your ovaries removed (I didn't), you will still cycle and ovulate. That's when mine was the worst. Over the last few years, my ovaries have stopped working and I ovulate once ever four months or so and I have problems. I'm now taking Premarin and the menopausal symptoms have stopped (thank God!). But, if I accidently take an extra pill because I've fogotten that I"ve already taken it, the bowel where my adhesions are/were(still have some) swell and of course I get the old "endometriosis" feeling that someone sandpapered the inside of my lower abdomen and it hurts to even sit down normally...and last but not least, severe diarrhea.
People usually feel sorry for me thinking that I must be miserable since my hysterectomy because of menopause, etc, but to be honest, I feel much better menopausal than I did with endometriosis. I had my hysterectomy when I was 29 and I'm 36 now.
I hoped this helped!
