Yogurt help (and others)

Thank you to everyone who gave be advice on the bloating/reflux/hoarse voice problems. I really appretiate it! I bought a bunch of live yogurt...to help with the bloating. This might be a stupid question, but.. how much am i'm i suppose to eat? Do i like eat it everyday for breakfast like i'm taking a vitamin...or just as much as possible..or? Will this just cure the bloating or will it also help with the chronic belching? I'll eat it whenever if that means i'll be cured! Also i'm totally stopping coffee and i read that the White Diet is good for healing stomach (esophagus too?) Had an endoscopy--no Barrets, esophogus VERY RED and inflamed. Had an Upper GI----very small Hiatel (?) Hernia, reflux, and tons of flatulance. I wish doctors had the time to explain these these things in detail! Is there any alternates to curing reflux like live yogurt or anything? Anyone ever experience loss of voice/voice cracking caused by reflux? (man,it is so embarrassing!)

Re: Yogurt help (and others)

Hay,
I usually eat at least 8 ounces of yogurt daily--- with breakfast daily, sometime during the day and before bed with PB-8 probiotica.

I think taking a digestive enzyme after meals and between meals may help with the belching. It sounds like your system just is not producing enough for proper digestion. I have used digestive enzymes for years--- I never belch after eating even steak, spicey foods or what ever.

You may want to Read JimmyRay's post about enzymes on the Digestive Disorders board.

I've never had the voice/cracking problem you talk about and do have GERD but rearly ----it's not an every day thing. I use homeopathic remedies for the inflamation/burning whenI need them. As you know------you don't want to get Barrett's Syd.---it leads to cancer.

God Bless---Harry
