New to the board but not to IBS
I've been dealing with IBS for almost two years. My original symptoms were the big "D", cramping, bloating and occasional constipation. I was seen by a family doctor and he sent me to a Gastro doc. I had more anal probes than I care to remember before he finally gave me a colonoscopy. I had several precancerous polyps and svever hemmoroids on top of IBS. My polyps were removed and the hemmoroid surgery is scheduled for the beginning of October. The IBS on the other hand is still a problem. I no longer have severe "D". It is more of a 45 minute struggle every time I have a bowel movement, which is every morning. There is cramping, bloating and major frustration. My hemmoroids are no help during these episodes. I bleed badly every time. I tried citrucell. That was a joke. No help there. I tried changing my diet. No help either. I am hoping that after my surgery the episodes will be a little better. If anyone has any suggestions as to help before hand I would appreciate it.
