Re: i.b.sand mastic gum?

I bought a bottle from my Alternative Medicine Doctor's office and it contained 120 capsules ---a 2 months supply if you take 2 daily. So, I took it for 2 months but after only 2 weeks I had a previously scheduled Upper scopy exam(EGD) that was already scheduled for 6 months with my Gastro Doctor--a follow up visit. The Exam results were that my gastitis /inflammation had gone away. The Gastro Doctor did not see a need for any more exams for five years!!! This was done last September 5, 2001.

I really donot know all the things Mastica is good for and still don't ---so I took the rest of the bottle. I also found you could buy it OTC from a health food store so I have another bottle. But, I haven't taken it yet. I am convinced it does more than kill H.pylori bacteria.

Someone wrote on this board that the Manufacturer suggests you also take a probiotic supplement while taking Mastica because it does affect the good bacteria in your Gastro tract but I've been doing that for years.

I hope this helps???

God Bless---Harry

Diane---It's put out by Nutricology and I bought the last bottle from the Vitamine Shoppe online.
