I was put on Librax (3-4x daily) and probiotics on Wednesday and have not seen any relief from my IBS symptoms. I have read so many good things about Librax. I was just wondering if I haven't given it long enough. I feel like if it was going to help it would have helped by now. I think Donnatal helped more than this. I get to have an endo next week and I'm a bit nervous about that. It seems generic immodium is the only thing that provides any relief to me. I'm tempted to start drinking but I know that won't help!

Some medications can take up to 6 weeks before you see any improvement in your condition. If you want to know more about how long it takes before you see any change call the pharmacy and ask to speak to the pharmcist because they will be able to tell you more.
I was on Donnatal for years and it worked just fine. I'm now taking Benityl which works for the cramping, and spasms. Nothing seems to address the root cause.
I just started Levbid (hyoscyamine) today; took half a pill, and my heart is beating out of my chest. Figures...if something like this is a side effect I will have it. My heart is very sensitive. Back to Librax, I guess.
