IBS and Histamine Intolerance?

Hey everyone, I've been wondering if there is a link between some of us IBS sufferers and histamine contained in foods. My IBS usually comes in the mornings, I wake up and feel discomfort in my stomach and have to sit at the toilet. My symptoms come and go, sometimes I can eat all the junk in the world and be perfectly fine the next day, where as sometimes I eat the same thing and the next morning would be terrible. Anyway, I was reading around online and someone provided a link regarding histamine intolerance and diarrhea/bloating/cramping. I don't know much about the topic, but I was wondering if anyone here may have done a little more digging and had some good information for us.

I know it's been awhile since your post but did you find out anything? I'm wondering if a lack of or an imbalance of hormones set off inflammation in the body which in turn contributes to the severity of IBS symptoms.

Hi there. Sorry I have not found anything since that post. I'm still experiencing the same issues though.

Re: IBS and Histamine Intolerance?

It's seem a interesting topic for me because i have the same trouble like you and the same question like you after researching about histamine.
I think i have to do an experiment. I using both anti H1 and anti H2 drug before eat something that i think it can causing the problem to my stomach and it's seem that my stomach is better, no go to toilet after eat or in the morning (at least currently) . Because i not sure it's can effect for all time and each case in each people are different so i hope my experiment can help you in your case.
