IBS or Recurring Infection? Driving me nuts!
A little back story: I am currently 21 years old. When I was younger, and all through growing up, my stomach was never a "strong" one. It gets easily irritated from diary products and greasy foods. It's extremely sensitive.
Back in May of this year, one evening about 2 hours after dinner I randomly had pains in my stomach and had to use the toilet. The BM was foul smelling, orange-brown loose stools. I had one BM and after that I was fine. That evening I recall eating some ****** food, and thought perhaps that upset me.
Now, since May, every 4 weeks or so I would have the exact same type of issue. Where 2 hours after my meal, I would have stomach pains followed by loose stools which were foul smelling and orange-brown. Sometime near the end of July I had a viral infection which led to a weekish of D as well - not sure if this is relevant. So now it is mid October and I am still having this issue of stomach pain + loose stools once every 4 weeks or so.
I have not contacted a GP yet, though my doctor took blood tests back in may which came out negative. So I'm wondering, is this just IBS? Or is it some type of infection such as gardia that is recurring. Please help me, any advice / input would really be appreciated. Thank you all.
edit: not sure why the food name was censored.
