IBS and hip pain

I was diagnosed with IBS in December via a colonoscopy where my colon was in spasm during the exam. I have not yet had my follow up appt. to start getting any treatment ideas. Meanwhile, I developed right sided hip pain. Google tells me it is sacroilliac joint dysfunction. When I try to roll over in the bed the pain is excrutiating. During the day I have a dull - moderate ache in the joint. Is there a chance this is related to the IBS? Its severity seems to track with the severity of my IBS.
