At my whits end

I was told I have IBS-D. The only thing I can figure out as my trigger is eating food with carrageenan. I've completely taken away carrageenan along with, coffee, dairy, sugar substitutes and sodas. I have only about 1000 calories a day because I'm afraid to eat anything...yet I still get IBS-D episodes.
My Dr told me to take Imodium when this happens and it does help with the horrible cramping. But when I do, I end up getting severe upper gastro pain then (heartburn, trouble swallowing and palpitations) I have had every test there is. I'm on probiotics daily. Does anyone else have these troubles? If it's not lower it's upper and vice versa. So tired of this.
