Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

Yes, I think it is important to look to where you want go. I would love to live to be about 90. But, I would want all those years to be fruitful and in good health. I have recently been trying to eat healthier and exercise....wish me luck!

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

for me longevity would be reaching the age of 100+ but i doubt I'll be able to reach that age.

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

What an interesting thread. I would like to live until 80 or longer and I am hoping that having a lot of family members that have made it well into their 90's will help be a determining factor. I am 56 now and have always been in good health and that is something I never take for granted. I feel blessed.

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

I never thought of living a long life but if this thought comes to mind then the average of 60 to 70.

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

I will be 33 right now as well as am much less concerned about the specific amount of a long time at all like me regarding my own standard of living. Excellent question!

A good diet, exercise regime, keep active, your brain as well, and you never know we're all living longer. Have a long and happy life.

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

I wouldn't like to live past 50 or 60... I just don't think I want to sit around and wait to die.

Re: What are your expectations for longevity?

I'm 70 and have survived Heart Failure and Permanent Atrial Fibrillation for over 26 years. I've gotten quite a bit better and stronger over the past few years and am now able to do a daily, demanding exercise program.

Each day, I do two half hour power walks, about 150 full pushups, 24 minutes stepper, 500 weight curls, 100 weight side lifts and 200 weight side curls.

I also eat small, frequent, low calorie, high quality meals.

I also limit chemicals in my home and avoid any items with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), or unhealthy off-gases.

At 70, having Heart Failure, my next hopeful target is 75. Then on to 80!

However, my most confident expectation is that I will wake up tomorrow!
