My real name is Puppy. seriously. my parents named me that when i was born. when i tell people my name they dont believe me at all. its frustrating. people call there kids Cat or Daisy or Page or Cherry .......so why not puppy
I actually call my son puppy, which I use as a term of endearment. I have called him that for years, he is 16 now. I think it is a sweet name, pup for a nickname.
We raised some puppies during his childhood, and that is what started me on calling him that. We both think puppies are amazing furry little things that smell funny and do things that make us laugh. What is better than a box of puppies?
I would be proud of a name that is associated me with such precious little animals. Did you ever ask your mother what her reason was for naming you Puppy? I would have, if I had the chance. I'll bet her answer would be interesting.
I've just had this conversation with my 6 yr old daughter a day ago In my language, which is macedonian, Puppy is baby talk word for eat, in spanish it means father, in english it's little dog. I believe you can find different meanings in different languages for every name there is. And that is why I don't find it strange if someone's name is Puppy, it is a beautiful name.
