Re: Kidney Infection and stone Help !

You can try lemonade! Either store bought or fresh squeezed! Powdered mixes work too! This really does work on the most common types of stones, which are calcium oxalate!
Did you have the stone tested? That will tell you what type of stone it was. Ask your doctor the type. It's important to know the type, so you can take the steps needed to prevent making more.
Hydration is a must also! Drink enough so your urine is either clear or very light yellow.
You might want to alter your diet and eliminate some of the things that help to form the stones. Cut back or cut out for a while things like chocolate and caffeine. Increase your calcium intake (not with tablets). Try milk, cottage cheese, ice cream, puddings (just not chocolate).
Try cranberry juice and alternate that with the lemonade and water.
All these are simple tricks, but they do work! They worked for both my husband and myself.
In 2013, I landed in the ER in terrible pain and vomiting. Thought it was my appendix! Turned out to b a 1.7 centimeter stone. A kidney tumor was also discovered and had to be biopsied. Thankfully, it isn't cancer and continues to be monitored. A month later, the stone caused a complete blockage. Had a kidney stent, two lithotripsies, stent removal and then a third lithotripsy for a second blockage. I was making stones like crazy. I started a low oxalate diet and drank LOTS of lemonade. I also asked my urologist about a pamphlet I had read in the exam room. It is for a supplement called Theralith X R. It helps to balance the chemistry in your kidneys. You can order it online. You don't need a perscription! I eventually passed ALL the stones (over ten months) and have remained stone free since!
Not only are they painful and extremely annoying, but they can cause kidney damage!
Good luck!

omg thank you for replying to me I have only one left and I don't know if it's gone by now last appointment was on 31 May the urologist told me you have one left and it's not that big and you have kidney infection still. I finished the 10 days course Cipro antibiotics. and I took the medicine for the stone I'm trying to drink parsley detox water and freshly squeezed lemon. I want to know if this will ever stop the urge to urinate every 10 minutes it's driving my crazy plus the gyno found out that I have yeast infection too so I took antifungal medication after my period will stop I'll go to the urologist and repeat the urine test to find if there's still infection and to see the stone I don't know how to pass the stone in the toilet I never saw the stone actually. I wish this stop Im tired

Re: Kidney Infection and stone Help !

The only way to know if a stone has passed is to strain your urine! Sometimes there is burning or stinging when they pass.
I actually kept the stones in there plastic containers. One sits on the bathroom sink as a reminder to drink more.
Antibiotics can give you a yeast infection! Happened to me for years. Now when I get put on antibiotics, I ask for medication to prevent a yeast infection. Just two pills! No more yeast infections. Bad enough dealing with everything else that's going on.
Never heard of parsley detox water, but doctors and hospitals use cranberry juice!
Yogurt is good too!
My youngest daughter is dealing with stones right now! She had a 5 mm stone stuck! They had to go in and retrieve it because it was causing a blockage!
Make sure you dilute the lemon with water, so it doesn't ruin the enamel on your teeth!
Hope you feel better soon!
