Hello
I am 15 years old and have been having some annoying symptoms and was wondering if they could be related to kidney disease. I have had morning nausea (just nausea, ive only vomitted from it 2x) for over a year now. I have frequent urination, i go all the time and i get up at night (which i hate, i just want to sleep!) I also had protein in my urine, i think it was only 1+( had the urine test like 8 months ago) But ive noticed latley that my urine is more bubbly than it used to be. At first i wasnt sure if it was because of the protein but i heard that excercise makes u have more protein, and after practice my urine is more bubbly so thats why i was thinking it was protein in my urine. My urine is usually always bubbly, its just worse after exercise (which, i know, is normal). I'm also always cold, especially my hands and feet. On my dad's side of the family they all have problems with high blood pressure but not kidney disease.
I've also had a small problem with dehydration, im thirsty a lot and always have dry lips. i told my dr. about how when i exercise, i have to stop or ill get sick (which i have many times) its become a problem w/ me because i exercise a lot. My dr. told me i was dehydrated and to drink more water and gatorade. I did all of that, but it didnt make a difference. I mentioned this b/c i heard that the kidneys have something to do with balancing electrolytes or something.
Some of the tests I have had done are:
ct and mri of the head (b/c of nausea i guess)
i had a blood test over a yr ago (dont know specific ones though)
5 hr glucose tolerance test
upper gi
Sorry for the length, but if anyone could respond i would appreciate it. I hope my kidneys are fine, but on the other hand I want to feel better. I just hate feeling sick in the morning( i take tigan which helps a little) and ive missed school, or gone in late b/c of it, i go to a really tough school, and its hard for me to make up work. But anyways, thanks for taking to the time to read this
