Metallic taste in mouth & kidney problems??
My father (78 years old) has been having trouble with a metallic taste in his mouth which has destoyed his appetite and as a result, he's dropped a significant amount of weight. He's also having kidney problems and been undergoing tests, but nothing diagnosed yet. He's suffering from chronic and severe back pain and one kidney is much smaller than the other. I realize I'm not providing a lot of information, but this is all I have at this point. Has anyone ever heard of any link between a metallic taste and kidney disease?? Also, I should mention that he has Gilbert's Syndrome (elevated bilirubin). Thanks!!
