Angry What urology doctor said & I am mad.... Help Please

Hello just me again,

I am kinda upset tonight. I went to see the urology doctor on Thursday for the first time. This is what he said. "that all the pain I am having is probably nothing, that it might be scar tissue from the infection I had in 2002" He also said that "he has like 20 ladies that all have the same symptoms and that there is nothing he can do for them but give them pain pills." He said "that the IVP did show something on my bladder wall, but he said that he did not think it was anything but some air," he also said "that I have a small stone in my right kidney" (which I did not know either). The pain as I mentioned in a past post is on the left, only on the right once in a while.

I am so ****ed right now, I feel like he was telling me all the pain and nights crying that I am in and going through is in my head. IT IS NOT IN MY HEAD.

Well, anyway he is going to still do the cystoscopy and he also said he was putting more dye in my kidney's, (can't remember what the name of that was) he also said he would look at my bladder and kidney's and see if he could get the stone out of the right side.* I feel like I am in the same place I was before I seen him. With my insurance I cannot go see another doctor.

Is it possible that he is right? That the kidney infection that I had in 2002 would cause scaring and that would cause the pain and that I would have to live with it for the rest of my life? Help I don't know what to do anymore.

He did not even say anything about the low urine output. He really acted like it was no big deal. He also said to me that "he thought it was useless to do the next tests but he would do them to set my fear at ease."

I never felt so stupid and helpless as I did that day. I have been so upset since I don't know what to do or who to talk to. I go in for the tests this Wed the 29th. My daughter is going to take me and drive me home, have to pull her out of high school, don't have anyone else to take me, hubby is still away with active duty till Oct and will be home for vacation for a few days.

Oh well. Sorry for venting, just had no where else to go.
Again take care and many blessings,
chelespiglets

Arrow update

Hello,
Just a update~ Had the cystoscopy done and they found another stone on the right side, I go in this Tues. to have the Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). First time for ESWL, stones are to big to pass on their own. The bladder biopsy came back normal (thank God)

Doctor was concerned about something else that he noticed so I am now having another test done in the next few weeks.

He said he still thinks the pain on the left is scare tissue from kidney infections. I think I will get a second opinion for the left kidney.

Just thought I would let you know what is going on.
Bye
Blessings

You are not alone. If they can't see the reason for the pain, they belive that it is not there.

Good Luck,
Shan

Re: update

Hi, I can relate. I go to the uro doctor today. He has said in the past stones can't cause pain in the kidney but I have 4 small ones and I think they can. I don't care what they say. I hope they haven't gotten any bigger.
Hope everything turns out ok. I have had three Lithotripsies.
Bless you,
Snodove
