Dilated ureters are usually due to an obstruction. Upstream from the obstruction, the urine keeps coming in, but because it can't get through as easily, the ureter starts to stretch.
When you say a lymph node was "found" in the area, what do you mean by that? Was the node enlarged?
Why did you have the CT scan in the first place?
