will i have kidney problems with next pregnancy - Kidney Disorders Message Board

My last pregnancy i had a stone they couldnt get out so i had a stent put in and i kept getting infections the rest of my pregnancy, the urologist told me i shouldnt really have anymore kids, but my ob said everything checks out fine and id be ok with another pregnancy-- who do i believe?? will it happen again? has anyone had a pregnancy like mine and had another with no problems?

I had several kidney stones during my first pregnancy. I could not get rid of a UTI through months of the pregnancy no matter what I took or how much fluid I drank. I am now 30 weeks pregnant with my second child. I have not had any of the problems untill this week when I developed my first uti. I hope things do not get bad again like they did in my last pregnancy. I have waited 11 years to have another child and had no problems at all during those years.

I have talked with my doctors and people on line. The doctors say that some stones and UTI's are caused by pregnancy, especiallly if you havent had any problems before or after pregnancy. it stinks!! I hope you dont have to have a stent put in or anything. let me know how your doing. I personally dont think Ill be having anymore, I dont want to go through that again. but if anyone is going through this @#$$ and needs advice let me know
