Hi all,
I'm 37 and have had several kidney stone attacks since my early 20s. In July '05 I had a lithotripsy done for a stone in my left kidney. Then, this past February, Doc says I have a smaller one in my right kidney. It moved into the ureter around early April, and since then the ultrasounds don't pick it up, but the doc says there's some blockage. Aside from occasionally waking with a stiff back pain, I have no other pain.
Then, in June, on a road trip, I wasn't drinking enough water and I had some really bad right flank pain, followed shortly by mid-section pain which I figured meant the stone made it to my bladder. Problem is, doc said last month that I still have a blockage?!?! Going for a CT scan in early Sept before seeing him again.
The real kicker is that I got up to pee the other night and while half asleep in the bathroom, I felt something shoot down my urethra as I started to go. I finished up then turned on the light to expect to see a stone in the toilet, but there was none. Had a stinging sensation in my penis for two days afterward. I've had absolutely no kidney stone type pain since, but I can't say I passed it because I didn't see it.
Anyone ever have a mystery stone like this? I really hope I've passed it, because I don't want another stent put in this fall.
