Hi there,
I'm new to the board but would like to applaud everyone for communicating and helping others.
I had been experiencing flank pain periodically now for about 3 months and finally went to see the doc. after I noticed I was urinating much more than normal. The doctor took a quick urine sample and it showed traces of blood in my urine but no sign of infection. Suspecting a kidney stone, she sent me for an ultrasound and x-ray which I just had done on Wednesday.
Despite the fact that the Ultrasound techs are not supposed to tell you anything that they see, she told me that she saw a small stone in my left kidney.
Of course, I am now awaiting the call from my doc. and am not taking anything into cosideration until I hear from her. My question is, can "small stone" be passed on their own? And also, should I be worried about any other complications.
any info or advice you can pass along would be most appreciated.
