Question Has anyone taken this Kidney Restore by Healthy Living Solutions?

It works for kidney ailments such as high creatinines, blood pressure, chronic kidney disease, protein spillage and low percentage kidney function etc. It is a bit pricey but I ordered a bottle to try out for about a month.

I wouldn't try this. It professes to do too much that modern medecine can't do. Very often these things contain things that are contraindicated for either your blood pressure or your kidney disease. Also, these things often have medicinal ingredients that either enhance what you are currently taking or will suppress your current medication. If nothing else, I would suggest that you post the ingredients here and get some feedback on what it can do to you.

BTW, what is your kidney situation and how do you expect this to help?

Re: Has anyone taken this Kidney Restore by Healthy Living Solutions?

It has 7 herbs:

I have chronic kidney disease with a creatinine of 5.5 and I am certain the only reason it is this high is because of the two diurectics that I take everyday. It has been at this level for some time and in the process of being placed on the transplant list. I don't eat much red meat but I do eat some chicken and fish. I am trying to eat more veggies and drink a lot of water. I am anemic and take the arenesp shot every three weeks in addition to the daily iron tablet. If I don't get enough sleep at night, I am less energetic. Hopefully the kidney restore will give me more energy.

Yes, diuretics can raise your creatinine, but it is much better than having fluid accumulate in your chest and not being able to breathe. Like I said before, many herbs have strong medicinal properties than can interfere with your meds and actually cause damage to your system. I was in your shoes at one point (I've since had a transplant) and I did a lot of research into herbal preparations. The problem is that the claims they make typically are only true for people with very mild, acute kidney problems. Especially with people like us at a creatinine of 5.5 (I was at 10 before I went on dialysis) is that many of the minerals in these preparations are no longer filtered by our kidneys and they can build up and cause damage in other organs.

If you want to try this stuff, make sure that you get regular blood work done so you can mark your progress (good or bad). Also, don't get your hopes too high if you do see a drop in Cr. I don't want you to be too upset if it doesn't continue to go down. I know that you know that the levels tend to fluctuate. Also, don't forget to check your BP regularly too.

Good luck.

Re: Has anyone taken this Kidney Restore by Healthy Living Solutions?

Suesue,
Let me know how this thing works out.
I too had my scare in 2001 was told that I was supposed to be on dialysis within 1-2 years due to IgA nephropathy.
But with proper diet (such as eating lot of veggies, absence of meat, fish oil, aloe, etc etc) and exercise my conditions have vastly improved since. So hang in there and good luck.
