| Sister kidney infection in hospital
Sister is 45. Went in and got blasted. Less than a week later was ambulanced to the hospital with a temp of 102 1/2 and chills. They admitted her and she's been in the hospital for a week. They took an ultrasound, cat scan - other than the kidney infection they found gallstones which they are not worried about (?). She still had a high temp after 4 days. Last night she was on her fourth antibiotic - Zosyn. This one made her feel great by the next morning. She'd had a constant headache all week and it finally went away. Her kidneys were sore too.
Here's the thing. Before she got zapped, at a different hospital, she told them she didn't feel well and her kidneys had been hurting her for a while. Between the time they had initially told her she had kidney stones to the procedure was over a month. The doctors at the hospital she is in now told her that she most likely had an infection before her procedure. I told her she should ask just how sick she really was and were exactly was the infection - did it spread outside the kidney.
They told her that the other hospital should not have done the procedure and should have cleared up the infection first.
Any thoughts? thanks
