I just got my cystoscopy with stent placement today. Is this going to hurt until they remove it? Or will it at least subside? I don't like this!

I will subside slightly but will never really be comfortable. Sorry I couldn't be more optimistic for you but I thought that honesty would serve you best.

I appreciate your honesty. How long did you have your stents in? I hope it isn't for very long - I have a house to run and 5 kids and a hubby to take care of and when I take the pain pills it makes me groggy.

The longest I had it in was 2 1/2 months which is not typical. To make matters worse for part of that time I had 3 days of a foley catheter in to.

Geez I hope I don't have to have it in that long! I feel bad for both of you! I asked the doc today and he said it usually comes out after 1 - 2 weeks. I guess it's just a waiting game. Thanks for the info! I'll keep you posted.
