Need info PLEASE - Kidney Disorders Message Board

I had an us abdominal us last week. My DR called me yesterday to tell me they found a possible mass on my left kidney. I am currently taking antibiotics for a uti infection. Does anyone know what a possible mass could be.

I am scheduled for a CT scan at 8 in the morning. I have been so worried. I had a stone in my left kidney over a yr ago and the DR said the results said possible mass not stone. He wasn't much help there.

Just to offer you some hope, my friend was diagnosed with a possible mass and then the scan showed that it WAS a stone. It was calcium oxolate which is sometimes funny on scans. It could have also been a gas pocket. There are many innocent things that sometimes get misread on films, that is why they run them again. Like Allie said, relax, we will worry for you.
