Okay, I get a KUB report back that says that I have "several small left renal calculi" grouped in the central portions of the left kidney with an aggregate measurement of approx. 7mm noted in the expected location of the left kidney.
Okay, can someone first of all interpret this for me as far as the size. Is this the size of all the stones together and are these two big to pass? Also, As someof you may have noted, I have posted on other boards that I have left ankle and foot swelling. I'm thinking that this could be the reason but wanted to ask to see if anyone else would put the two symptoms together since no ther Dr. can come up with an answer and I have been to SEVERAL different kinds of doctors in figuring this out. I knew that I had 1 stone in the left kidney that has been too big to pass and the fact that it hasn't moved in the last few years is making me wonder if maybe that stone has finally broken up into these small other pieces because I have been drinking more water and occassionally have some lemonade from time to time which they say to drink too.
So, any ideas as far as what to do about this? I don't see my doctor for another month or so. Also, is 7mm considered
HUGE?
