New to Board! Kidney Stone Disease

Hi Guys! I have passed over 100 stones starting around the age of 17 (Im 29 now). I had surgery two weeks ago and a stent removal last week. Has anyone still had kidney pain a week after. The pain just started today and with all my stents and stones, I have never had pain a week after. It's definately not the typical agonizing passing of a stone pain. Just a nagging sometimes sharp pain. Also the Urologist just gave me information on a fairly new supplement that prevents stone formation and promotes healthy kidney/urine function. It's called LithX something. Sorry I will have to find the name of it. Will post as soon as I find it. Just wanted to know if anyone is taking something like it and how it works? Thanks

Hi Allie! No fever yet but my flank area feels like one big giant bruise. This just started today. Usually after the stent is removed Im sore for a day and then no other problems. I have some fatigue and slight nausea. How is the meds working for you? I was on Potassium Citrate for a year. Didn't work for me though.

Passed a piece of stone 2 hours before surgery. They did a quick KUB to find out that the stone had broken apart but then lodged lower. They went in did litho and removed a huge portion of the stone and placed the stent. Two days later I was back in ER passed another large portion. This one has definately been a pain. No pun intended

What type of stones did you have? My father is having troubles with passing Uric type stones. Had litho done and it did not work, just got IVP last week and results are on Monday.
May be more invasive surgery coming up, he is worried as he also has reason to believe the kidney is not operating correctly if at all.

What was the name of the medicine you said they prescribed to you?

Hope you are healing and no more stones, they sound horrible.

Patty tell your did to elevate his hips alot after drinking. It will ease the stone out of where it has made it's residence.
