right sided lower back pain - Kidney Disorders Message Board

I've been having this problem for about 2 weeks. When I go to bed at night I can't lay on my right side without it hurting. It continues like that all through the night. It does feel a little better when I urinate. The pain usually goes away once I get up and move around. Today the pain has stayed and is very uncomfortable. It just a constance ache.

this could be a stone or a kidney problem
no way to know forsure untill a doctor lets you know

hey well i have had alot simimlar pain since i was 14 what i highly sugest is see a urinologist it may be a upj obstruction. which can deteriorate kidney function and it hurts realy realy realy bad and if u get it early enough you can keep your pain from getting unbarible to keep you up at night and vomiting trust me catch it early the pain gets much much much worse

Have you had any luck with a diagnosis? I am experiencing the same symptoms and I was just wondering if you've found out anything.
