leff side hurts? kidney problem? - Kidney Disorders Message Board

hello can you help me out with some answers, I noticed like since i had my daughter last april my left side between the rib and hip hurts and feels hard, the pain is not all too bad yet but concerns me, i just came from the e.r it wasnt kidney stones or infection they said, all i had done was a urine sample and blood test, what a wasted of 6 hour wait, this sucks... i have a doctors appointment and ultrasound next week and im scared as hell it might be something bad, what do you think this might be?

It could be a muscular problem. But either way, the Ultrasound should help. Sometimes the Urine cultures don't always catch the presence of Stones (although usually, they're relatively accurate). The Ultrasound will show potential "calcifications" if they're present in your kidney. Hopefully it's something that can be solved relatively quickly (but properly of course) and nothing too serious.
