| Re: Concern about possible kidney damage
It sounds like you need urinalysis and blood work done, and soon!!!!
Some of your symptoms sound like kidney problems - the itching, fatigue, and funny-colored urine, for one. The joint aches can be caused by Vitamin D deficiency, which can be caused by kidney disease.
Once your blood/urine work comes back, they'll have a very clear idea of what you should do next. It was a simple blood count that determined I had failing kidneys.
Don't panic - I was treated successfully. I don't need dialysis and I work a full-time job. I take a few supplements and medications, but I function. I'm not dying. But you need to find out right now what is going on with you!
P.S. I'm a big fan of alternative medicine, but in this case, I don't think it's working for you. An alternative doctor cannot treat renal failure. A nephrologist can, and quickly. It's good to balance your treatments between alternative and traditional doctors, for this very reason!
