back pain after eating - Kidney Disorders Message Board

For the past few days, after I eat my back starts hurting. It's in the middle of my back. Could this be my kidneys? It's happens almost immediately after eating a meal. Sometimes it is accompanied by bad indigestion and/or headache. I am usually not prone to indigestion, and my diet has not changed.

You need to contact your doctor if it continues. Most likely not your kidney though, you kidney is on the side and you would feel it on your side in the back and in the front.

Your kidneys are actually located in your back. They should not be impacted by digestive issues. Time to call your doctor...

My mother has had the same symptoms for several years now. She has had many tests and the doctors all say there is nothing wrong with her.

I have the same thing and it is really quite distressing, I have no idea what it could be, but the pains are always on my pain, close to the spine, and in the area where my kidneys would be, about mid-back few inches lower. If anyone has figured out what this is, please let me know, I can only think that it IS my kidneys and that the urinalysis that I get just doesn't show anything wrong because they are not degraded enough. please let me know what you all think.
