Is this my kidney? Help - Kidney Disorders Message Board

For over a wk I have had a dull left sided pain-not a cramp, but like something is there, or as if someone were poking their finger in me. The pain feels like its under my last rib and about 1 1/2 inches left of my belly button.

This is making me scared could it be my kidney, lung or pancreas? My dad died of pancreatic cancer so this scares me. I have also had a wide variety of other odd symptoms but not sure its related--all tests for my symptoms have been fine (stabbing joint pains, muscle twitching, extreme joint cracking)

Does this dull pain sound familiar to anyone?

It doesnt sound like your kidney, your kidney you would feel in your back as well as in the front, it would be a feeling on the side of your lower back. Sounds like a similar pain I had, the doctor told me it was my overies. it could possibly be a cyst. Have you had a cat scan done? That would be the best option.
