kidney inflammation???????????? - Kidney Disorders Message Board

I've had ivp's, cysto's and ultrasounds done because of constant micro blood in my urine. No infection ever found. Urologist said my kidney was inflammed but not to worry. I went back last year after still have this blood and had tests done again. He said once again that my kidney was inflammed but did not even tell me to come back for retesting in a year. He might not be worried but I am. What is this swelling from and should I worry?

It dosen't sound like you have a very good Urologist. Make an appointment with a Nephrologist,(kidney specialist) the sooner the better.

There any number of things that could be causing your problem, and it should be checked out by another doctor.

What is swelling? Your hands, legs, face, fingers...what? Sounds like edema. I agree with college_dude. Go to a Nephrologist. You clearly are having a kidney problem, some sort of glomerialnephritis; where the filters get inflamed. There are serious diseases related to this problem. Take everything very seriously when it comes to your body and always question doctors. They don't always have the right answer.
