Constant urinary/kidney inf with sex! - Kidney Disorders Message Board

This is really bad now...I cannot even have sex with my husband without getting a urinary trac or kidney infection! My doctor finds no stones but i continue to get the infections one right after another..I have been checked for diabetes several times and my blood sugar was always normal...When i eat popcorn or corn products (which i eat daily) i get the infections worse...Can someone shed some light here please? I use good hygiene, and when i have sex i always urinate afterwards..but i suffer greatly still....help!

I had (have) sommewhat of the same problem, My Dr. said it was some sort of bacteria the female produces and gave me Macrobid to take after sex, it has helped me some with the infections.I would talk to your Dr,

Do you take macrobid every day? Or just one pill only? I was thinking of doing that, just taking one pill after sex, cause i have macrobid, but i know that i will kill all the good bacteria in my intestines with antibiotics all the time, later to cause candida (i had this before bad)

Just 1 pill after sex.Dr assured me it would not distroy the good bacteria, just help to nuteralize the "bad". It seem to help me quite a bit.
