How can you tell if you have protein in your urine and what does it mean? Lately I have been having white particles floating around in my urine and kind of looks like an oil or grease in it. Could that be protein? I also have been running low grade fever with low backaches on my left side and side pain right under my rib cage. Thanks for any advice. Becky
You need to see a doctor. Low-grade fevers, pain in lower back, white particles in urine, could indicate kidney stones. I don't believe protein in urine is actually visible; it's usually discovered when they do a urine sample test.
At any rate, it definitely sounds like you have kidney stones (or gravel) and it should be checked out.
Hi Becky there is only two ways to find out as far as i know one is go and see your doctor, two is do you no any boby with diabetes? because we have urine sticks, and ketone sticks that test your protine as well, but get it sorted out as quick as you can, before it gets worse good luck
