kidney stones AND gall stones - Kidney Disorders Message Board

Anyone else unfortunate enough for both? I was pregnant when I discovered the kidney stones, now my baby is 5 months and I have gall stones. Could they be related, or am I just unlucky? Also, my doc is recommendind laser surgery for the kidney stones, not the litho whatever. Any ideas on why? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Hope. The doc says the stent is necessary because of the swelling. Is it not? I keep reading horrible things about stents. Did you have your gall bladder removed? How often do you have attacks? Do you pass the gall stones?
