If his creatinnine is raised and the fact that he feels tired and nauseous all the time, must mean that his Urea level is also raised. Creatinnine is the by product of muscle metabolism and is a good indicator of renal function, however, it tends to be the raised Urea level that makes you feel unwell. Urea is a by product of protein metabolism and should be excreted from the body via the kidneys and if this become backed up in the blood, then you will feel tired and sick.
Also, high blood pressure for long periods is one of the chief causes of renal failure. The kidneys are one of the body's blood pressure control mechanisms in conjunction with the heart also. If the blood pressure is rasied, then it puts both extra strain on the heart and the kidneys.
I have to say that if his creatinnine level rises any further, then I think your husband will be looking to dialysis at sometime in the future, whether this be haemodialyis or peritoneal dialysis.
Hope this helps and good luck? |
