I just had kidney stone surgery..it started a few weeks ago, riding in a car i got severe lower back pain that felt like my disc in the right side of my back was going to blow out..i had some pain in the front right side..after 30 min i could not walk and had to go to emergency room to get morphine..they took a cat scan and said there maybe a microscopic stone..but since the stupid cat scan machine only scans in 2 millimeter increments it may have missed it..next day i went for IVP xray DYE tests for 4 hours..they also could not located stone...next day i URINATED OUT hundreds of SMALL BLACK pieces that looked like small pencil leads and small globs which i captured in the strainer...the pain went away...thought it was gone..next day i got pain so severe had to return to Emergency room in ambulance..was so sick with feaver and spewing vomit like linda bLAIR in the EXORCIST...anyway they gave me morphine and sent me home again. finally the doctor told me i need surgery thru the bladder penis..i went under full anathsia with a surgeon and they took out some small stones in my bladder...THE ONLY THING I DID DIFFERENT IN THE PAST YEAR WAS TO CONSUME HERBALIFE BRAND HIGH PROTEIN WEIGHT LOSS POWDERS..PILLS AND SNACK BARS....WITHIN A YEAR OF BEING ON HERBALIFE BRAND WEIGHT LOSS PRODUCTS I GOT TERRIBLE KIDNEY STONES.......I TERMINATED MY MEMBERSHIP IN HERBALIFE SINCE MY PUSHY UPLINE LADY WERE PUSHING US TO TAKE PILLS 3 TIMES A DAY AND IT WAS VERY EXPENSIVE ..THE SURGERY TEAM AT THE HOSPITAL TOLD ME I WAS SUBSIDIZING SOME WEALTHY HERBALIFE PEOPLE AND TO NEVER TAKE THAT STUFF AGAIN....NOW I FEEL MUCH BETTER SINCE I DONT TAKE HERBALIFE.......THE KIDNEY STONE PAIN CAUSED SO MUCH BACKUP THAT I WAS IN PAIN SOMETIMES FOR 8 TO 12 HOURS AT A TIME AND ON HYDROMORPHONE PILLS FOR EVERY DAY FOR 2 WEEKS....IT WAS HORRIBLE....HORRIBLE....
Thanks for posting that and it is a lesson to everyone to watch out for scams such as this and I am sorry about the pain that you had to suffer going through this.
If it is the same company that I am thinking off, then Herbalife has been around in the States and the UK for at least 25 years in some form or another. They have very pushy sales people working for them who try to sell you products that they claim will help you to loose weight without doing anything else at all - just not possible though. The only way to loose weight effectively is by major lifestyle changes such as in diet and exercise.
Herbs can still be dangerous though even though they are natural and Herbalife is just a total scam and fraudulent anyway.
Can you tell me if this Herbalife product you were taking contains EPHEDRINE? I ask because a friend of mine (also male) has been taking an herbal product called EPHEDRINE PLUS for about 6 months and about 4 months ago developed a severe kidney stone problem. He is passing 2-3 stones per week! I know Ephedrine is used as a weight loss aid and am curious if the product you took contains this substance?

Hey, I have to say that it probably does, as Herbalife are in the business of trying to sell their so called herbal remedies/products especially for weight loss, so I would suspect yes.
Also, please remember that herbal remedies in the hands of a fully qualified practitioner such as an ND who knows what they are doing is very safe, whereas this company just seems to be making a profit out of selling products for weight loss that have massive side effects.
I read your response on Herbalife and had the same problem only I got an ulcer and headaches.I do now have kidney stones and pretty quick going to see the specialist.
