| Had uteroscopy - no stent
Hi All,
I am new to this board. On Monday of this week I had a uteroscopy to blast a 9mm stone. They did not put a stent in place as the surgeon said that this is not automatically done anymore. I am not sure whether I have passed all the pieces of the stone or not. Mostly my pain is now light and at times non existent, however, I did have some moderate to severe flank pain this morning and last night. There is still a moderate amount of blood in my urine and some tiny clots. Is this normal? I have no insurance, so they would not schedule me for a follow-up visit and I have not seen my surgeon since surgery. I am only to call in the case of a true emergency.
I am a student and work as well. I did go back to class on Thursday night--it was that or get a zero on an assignment. I deliver pizzas and have not been back to work yet. How long should I stay off work? I noticed the pain and blood was greater after doing a few errands yesterday, so today I have stayed inside.
My question is what is the recovery period like for those of you that have not had stents after uteroscopy?
