Question kidney stone and vaginal bleeding

I was diagnosed with a 5mm kidney stone about 3 months ago. I still haven't passed it and am waiting for an appointment with a specialist to see what my options are. I've had three UTI's since the stone was found. (Before this I'd never had a UTI in my life) The most recent one, I went to the doctor for bladder spasms and general bladder pain. The urinalysis showed white blood cells in my urine but no red blood cells. He prescribed me another round of Cipro for the infection. 5 days later, my pain is worse than before and today I started spotting as if I were going to start a period. I just had a period two weeks ago and my cycle is always like clock work, so I was kind of shocked to have this vaginal bleeding. I've googled and searched and can't really find any info on the possibility of a kidney stone or bladder infection causing vaginal bleeding. I don't really see how it could be possible since the urinary and reproductive systems are two totally different things. Has anyone else has an experience like this?

I guess I should also consider the possibility of an ovarian cyst...the symptoms match up.

Hello
Ive not had a stone but i did read somewhere that when the stone starts to move off down the tubes to the bladder that it can cause bleeding because of sharp edges etc but my advice would be if your worried see your doctor.
Best wishes

I know that it's common to have blood in your urine because of the sharp edges of the kidney stone...but how could it possibly cause vaginal bleeeding?

I really dont know hun...im not a doctor. Maybe you have passed the stone and it has caught on the vagina? Maybe what you think it vaginal bleeding is actually just blood from the bladder? Really...see your doctor.
Best wishes x
