Question Kidney Pain & Water

I know this is a crazy question, but it's way too coincidental. I am an avid Diet Pepsi drinker, might as well be given to me by iv. I sometimes drink milk, but pretty much the pop morning, noon, & night.

It seems as if whenever I start drinking more water, I have kidney pain.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks,
Saf

Re: Kidney Pain & Water

Yup. Drinking lots of water makes my kidney hurt... I've had tons of stones and infections in that kidney, and just been diagnosed with possible UPJ obstruction, had a narrowed section of my ureter removed, and the entire ureter slit open lengthwise with a large stent put in, in hopes that it will grow back around the stent larger than it was. The doctors acted like I was nuts when I told them drinking lots of water hurt my kidney, though. (As does eating a large meal...)
