Strange Stone Passage?

Hello,

I am a 17-year-old male from MA, and I believe I may have just passed a kidney stone. Last March, I found myself woken up by a burning pain in my urethra (the part in my penis) and had to go to the bathroom. After urinating, I couldn't see anything come out, but I noticed that the pain had dulled slightly. The pain eventually left after about 1 hour after urinating and I was able to go back to sleep.

This has happened every 2-4 months since then, and has happened for the 5th time just now. Is this a kidney stone? The reason I ask is because most other feeds describe people who pass stones, feeling them long before they're in the penis. Is this a matter I need to consult my doctor with, or could it be as simple as not being hydrated?

Thanks for the help!
p.s. I am not sexually active
